Pay Grade: F District Entry/Hiring Salary: $24,322.01/year
Salary is based on education and experience.

LOCATION: WIC – Sumter County Health Department
1601 North MLK Blvd., Suite 100, Americus, GA 31719

DUTIES: Under broad supervision, this position will be responsible for a variety of clerical duties including input of client data in Georgia Gateway and WIC front end system; validating client eligibility, printing and issuing WIC vouchers to clients enrolled in WIC. Responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of sensitive items such as voucher paper, WIC stamp, WIC identification cards and WIC vouchers. The incumbent will supervise FT and PT clerical employees who perform similar duties in 5 counties to include Sumter, Crisp, Macon, Dooly, and Schley. Responsible for ensuring adequate clinic coverage and performing all administrative duties such as developing clinic schedule, monitoring and approving employee time off, and completing Midpoint and annual performance evaluations. Serve as POC for all major projects to include mailing WIC vouchers, using automated appointment notification system, and WIC Farmer’s Market. Participate in all WIC-specific training of policies and procedures and notifying employees of policy changes. Ensures customer standards are maintained at all times.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED AND Two years of experience required at the lower level Admin Support 3 (GSS082) or position equivalent. Must show ability to lead or supervise a team. *Must have reliable transportation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A 2-year degree in business or related field; excellent verbal and written communication skills; 5 or more years customer service in a professional setting; ability to lead and adapt to changes quickly; at least 1 year of PH experience.
