LOCATION: District WIC, Columbus Department of Public Health 5601 Veterans Parkway, Columbus, GA, 31904
DUTIES: This position will supervise, guide and instruct the work assignments of dietitians/nutritionists. Manages and coordinates nutrition and dietetic services for a 16-county health district for the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. Provides technical expertise in nutrition to staff and the community. Ensures availability of quality nutrition services to target populations, including nutritional risk screenings, assessments, individual counseling and follow-up, as well as group nutrition education classes. * Travel is required for this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university from an Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics accredited program AND Two years of experience as a dietitian/nutritionist AND registration as a Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Commission on Dietetic Registration AND licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia.
