LOCATION: Columbus Dept. of Public Health, 2100 Comer Ave.
2nd Floor, HHS Center, Columbus, GA

DUTIES: Under general guidance, this position will function as the Immunization and Employee Health Coordinator for the WCHD. Serves as the liaison between the State Immunization Office and the district/county staff. Provides expert advice, technical assistance, and training to staff, as needed. Ensures staff are adequately trained in storage, handling and administering vaccines. Works with the District Administrator to monitor the Immunization Program budget(s). Will actively serve on the WCHD QA/QI Clinical Team and District Leadership Team. Serves as the Employee Health Coordinator. Stays abreast in Emergency Preparedness and assists in the emergency response needs of the district.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in nursing, public health or related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of nursing experience AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certified OR Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND Five years of nursing experience AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certified OR Two years of experience at the lower level PH Nursing Program Consultant 1 (HCP210) or position equivalent.
