LOCATION: Columbus Health Department, 5601 Veterans Pkwy, Columbus, GA 31904
DUTIES: Under limited supervision, performs advanced nursing functions and provides healthcare services emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention; manages acute and chronic diseases in accordance with nursing protocols; assesses the client’s condition, performs, and interprets laboratory tests, prescribes appropriate treatments/therapies, and educates client. Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations and minor invasive procedures as medically required/recommended. Performs insertions and removals of various LARC devices. Performs case management for the PrEP Program in accordance with PrEP Protocol.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate or Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing AND certification in the specialty area(s) approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing AND Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND Georgia license as an APRN AND CPR certification.
All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency.
