PAY GRADE: L District Entry / Hiring Salary: $60,000.00/year
Salary is based on education and experience

This is a grant-funded position until 2023

LOCATION: Columbus Dept. of Public Health, 2100 Comer Ave., Columbus, GA, 2nd Floor, Health & Human Services Center

DUTIES: Under supervision, this position will oversee COVID response activities for school support during the COVID-19 pandemic across West Central Health District’s 16 counties. The coordinator will supervise the WCHD COVID Strike teams. This position will be responsible for the COVID community and the school-based strike teams activities to include, but not limited to: establishing and organizing community based COVID vaccination and testing sites, immunization audits, school-based COVID testing and vaccination coordination, school-based Flu coordination, Scoliosis screening coordination, and school-based epidemiologic COVID-19 contact tracing. Must be legally able to administer vaccines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in nursing, public health or related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of nursing experience AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certified OR Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND Five years of nursing experience AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certified OR Two years of experience at the lower level PH Nursing Program Consultant 1 (HCP210) or position equivalent.
