Health Educator or Nutritionist/Dietitian 1 (Columbus)

LOCATION: Columbus Department of Public Health, WIC, 5601 Veterans Parkway, Columbus, GA 31904

DUTIES: Under supervision, provide nutrition services to clients in the WIC Program as assigned. Complete nutrition screening, assessment, and education for eligible WIC clients. This position is housed in Columbus. *Will be required to travel to the surrounding 16 counties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Dietitian/Nutritionist
Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university AND verification statement of completion of a didactic program accredited by The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.

Health Educator
Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Nutritional Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, or Public Health Nutrition from an accredited college or university that meets specific coursework criteria.

All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency.
