LOCATION: West Central Health District, 2100 Comer Ave., Columbus, GA, 2nd Floor, Health & Human Services Center

DUTIES: Under Emergency Preparedness (EP) supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies, and/or procedures. Orders and dispenses medications and vaccinations based on nursing assessment and according to established nurse protocol. Will assist with daily operations to include COVID Response. This position will assist with Natural Disasters Response and normal annual events such as influenza and other communicable diseases, Review Emergency Plans, Coordination with Point of Dispensing Sites, and anywhere EP plays a vital role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification. No experience required. *A copy of college transcript is required.

*Completion of a PHN course is recommended within one (1) year of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and one (1) year of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse.
