Public Health Nursing Supervisor 2 (Columbus)

PAY GRADE: N Minimum Hiring Salary: $72,282.00
*Salary based on education and experience

LOCATION: Columbus Health Department, 5601 Veterans Pkwy., Columbus, GA 31904

DUTIES: Under limited supervision, this position will function as a PHN/County Nurse Manager in the Columbus Health Department. Will plan for client level & population-based nursing services; evaluate, compile, and submit data and reports by established deadlines; evaluate supplies, equipment and medication needs and ensure adequate levels are maintained; monitor clinic activity and modify schedule, as needed; coordinate peer reviews and protocol signature pages, mock drills, and emergency vaccine storage plans, as needed; order and approve requisitions for program supplies and medications / vaccines. Identify training needs of clinic staff and ensure training is provided. Identify new community collaborations and/or revenue resources, when applicable. Participate in the Nurse Manager meetings monthly/quarterly.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in nursing, public health, or related field from an accredited college or university AND Two (2) years of supervisory experience at the lower level PH Nursing Supervisor 1 (HCP194) or position equivalent AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification OR Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND Four (4) years of supervisory/management experience AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification OR Associate’s degree in nursing form an accredited college or university AND Five (5) of RN supervisory/management experience AND completion of PHN course within six months of hire if no PHN experience AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
