Public Health Registered Nurse 1 (PCM)

PAY GRADE: J District Entry/Hiring Salary: $43,000/year
Salary is based on education and experience

LOCATION: Perinatal Case Management (PCM), Columbus Health Department, 5601 Veterans Pkwy, Columbus, GA 31904

DUTIES: Under supervision, this Columbus based position, will provide Perinatal Case Management (PCM) assessments to facilitate enrollment in Presumptive Eligibility (PE) Medicaid and connect pregnant women with the GA Strong Families Program (GSFP). This position will provide professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, functioning as an expanded role nurse providing patient care consistent with patient’s level of need; orders and dispenses medications based on physical assessment and nurse protocols. Utilizes the patient EMR to accurately document patient care and enter billing information for reimbursement. Also, serves as patient advocate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification. Note: No experience required. A copy of college transcript is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and one (1) year of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse.
