LOCATIONS: Columbus Department of Public Health, 2100 Comer Ave., Columbus, GA, 2nd Floor, Health & Human Services Center
Sumter County Health Department, 1601 North MLK Jr. Blvd., Ste. 100, Americus, GA 31719

DUTIES: Under supervision, this position will drive the mobile unit which provides public health services across West Central Health District’s 16 counties. Will be responsible for setting up/breaking down trailer, loading truck/trailer with equipment/supplies for transportation to COVID vaccine clinic sites, transport Strike Team staff to designated COVID vaccine clinics across West Central Health District’s 16 counties, operate/maintain generator, operate truck and refuel as needed ensuring both are serviced when necessary. *Work hours will vary based on Vaccine clinic schedules. **Evening and weekend availability is required. Travel is required for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED AND valid driver’s license. Must be able to meet West Central Health District’s MVR guidelines. Must be able to work flexible hours and have reliable transportation.

All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
