SALARY: $66,168.17 Annually
LOCATION: District TB, Columbus Health Department, 5601 Veterans Parkway, Columbus, GA 31904
DUTIES: Under broad supervision, this position will be housed in Columbus and will travel to County Health Departments & other worksites within West Central Health District. Will provide district TB guidance to County Nurse Mangers, PH nurses, local medical clinics and businesses throughout the community based on Georgia protocols and standing Physician orders. Work to prevent and control the transmission of Tuberculosis by teaching and implementing the national strategies for TB elimination. The TB Coordinator will conduct TB specific trainings, provide nursing services, guidance, and audit TB records for compliance while serving on the District QA Team. The TB Coordinator will complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as indicated.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of nursing experience AND current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND Two years of nursing experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Public Health Nursing experience; experience with Infectious Diseases (specifically TB experience).
