LOCATION: Ryan White Clinic, Columbus Health Department, 5601 Veterans Pkwy, Columbus, GA 31904

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision, performs a wide range of office administration duties for the Ryan White Program. Duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information. May research, investigate, and/or resolve program data or issues. Drafts documentation, reports, or presentations. Represents the program/unit, provides information and assistance to internal and external customers. Supervises front line administrative support staff. Position may travel to satellite clinics to provide support and/or supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reports to the program Physician and program Coordinator;
• Supervises front line support staff;
• Reviews files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests;
• Communicates with clients, families, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate, or explain program information, and address complaints;
• Completes and mails, emails or faxes referrals, documents or other correspondence or other programs, employees, vendors, or business partners;
• Completes tasks and assignments associated with administrative support functions (i.e., records management; taking, processing, following up and distributing referrals; maintaining program database or similar functions;
• Computes, records, and proofreads data and other information, such as records or reports; • Maintains and updates filing, mailing and data base systems, either manually or using a computer;
• Attend meetings/community events related to program; and
• Focus on billing, making payments, and compiling reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Administrative Assistant 2 – (Hire-in salary – $33,493.04) Associates degree from an accredited college or university AND One year of related experience OR Three years of related experience.

Administrative Assistant 3 – (Hire-in salary – $36,279.84) Associates degree from an accredited college or university AND Two years of related experience OR Four years of related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Public Health Program experience. Computer experience. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data entry, etc.) Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT codes. Must demonstrate excellent customer service and oral communication skills, to effectively interact with all levels of departmental personnel and outside customers. Work requires ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.
