LOCATION: Columbus Health Department, 5601 Veterans Pkwy, Columbus, GA 31904

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under broad supervision, this position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Columbus Health Department clinic along with the supervision of the clerical support staff. Will perform a variety of general secretarial, clerical, and administrative support functions to include, but not limited to, answering incoming correspondences, medical record requests, patient intake/data entry, assessing/collecting payments for services, generating reports, and copying/distributing documents, operate office equipment, maintain supplies for the clinic, and maintain record-keeping and filing systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Administrative Assistant 2 – (Annual salary – $39,060.94)
Associates degree from an accredited college or university AND One year of related experience OR Three years of related experience.

Administrative Assistant 3 – (Annual salary – $42,467.04)
Associates degree from an accredited college or university AND Two years of related experience OR Four years of related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous supervisory experience. 5+ years of Public Health Program experience. Computer experience. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data entry, etc.) Must demonstrate excellent customer service and oral communication skills, to effectively interact with all levels of departmental personnel and outside customers. Work requires ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.
