PAY GRADE: $51,811.56 Annually
LOCATION: Columbus Health Department, 5601 Veterans Pkwy., Columbus, GA 31904
DUTIES: Under supervision, this position will assist clients in the completion of presumptive Medicaid applications. Duties include, but not limited to providing professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies, and/or procedures, functioning as an expanded role nurse based out of the Columbus Health Department, and provide nursing care consistent with the patient’s level of need. This position will utilize the EMR system to accurately document patient care and enter billing information for reimbursement, order and dispense medications based on nursing assessment and according to established nurse protocol and serve as patient advocate and refer patients to community partners or private physicians, when indicated.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification. No experience required. *A copy of college transcripts is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and one (1) year of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse.
All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency.
