Full-Time, Unclassified Position
SALARY: $74,758.74 Annually
LOCATION: Sumter County Health Department, 1601 North MLK Blvd., Suite 100, Americus, GA 31719
DUTIES: Under limited supervision, this position will perform advanced nursing functions and conduct preventative health care assessments with a focus on PrEP Services, Women’s Health, STD examinations and treatment, and cancer detection. Assess the client’s condition, performs, and interprets laboratory tests, prescribes appropriate treatments/therapies, and provides education. Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations and minor invasive procedures as medically required/recommended. Performs insertions and removals of various LARC devices. *Travel will be required throughout West Central Health District’s 16-county health departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing AND certification in the specialty area(s) approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing AND Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND Georgia license as an APRN AND CPR certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Public Health experience, prior knowledge and/or experience with Women’s Health, PrEP services, Women’s health, STD examinations.
