Full-Time, Unclassified Position

SALARY: $36,537.33 Annually

LOCATION: District Administration, Columbus Department of Public Health, 2100 Comer Ave., Columbus, GA, 2nd Floor, Health & Human Services Center

DUTIES: Under general supervision, this position will assist the District Program Manager with administrative duties in support of COVID-19 and public health programs including Environmental Health, Emergency Preparedness, WIC and Nutrition services, Epidemiology, Adolescent Health & Youth Development, health education, substance use prevention, injury control, and chronic disease prevention. Will serve as a liaison between district and county level staff and community partners. *This position will require the use of Microsoft office products and applications, virtual conferencing platforms, calendar and meeting management and other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university AND One year of related experience OR Three years of related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: General administrative/office experience. Computer experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data entry, etc.). Must demonstrate excellent customer service and oral communication skills, to effectively interact with all levels of departmental personnel and outside customers. Work requires ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.

All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
