Full-Time Unclassified Position
SALARY: $74, 758.74 Annually
LOCATION: Columbus Health Department, Family Planning/Women’s Health, 5601 Veterans Parkway, Columbus, GA 31909
DUTIES: This position will be housed in Columbus, GA. Under limited supervision, this position will be required to travel throughout West Central Health District’s 16- county health departments and perform advanced nursing functions and conduct preventive health care assessments with a focus on Women’s Health, STD assessments and treatment, PrEP, and cancer detection. Will assess the client’s condition, performs, and interprets laboratory tests, prescribes appropriate treatments/therapies, and provides education. Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, and minor invasive procedures as medically required/recommended. Perform insertions and removals of various LARC devices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certification in the specialty area(s) approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse and Georgia license as an APRN and CPR certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Public Health experience, prior knowledge and/or experience with Women’s Health.
All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency.
