Full-Time Unclassified Position

SALARY: $26,311.26 Annually

LOCATION: Columbus Health Department, 5601 Veterans Pkwy., Columbus, GA 31904

DUTIES: Under supervision of the Office Manager, this position performs a variety of general secretarial, clerical, and administrative support functions to include, but not limited to assisting patients with questions regarding available services, patient intake/data entry, verifying insurance information, collecting fees for services rendered, answering phones, operating standard office equipment, providing program information, filing, and other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED AND ability to perform basic office functions and computer related duties.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Public Health experience, administrative and/or medical office experience.

All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
