The Breastfeeding Connection is a free service for all women who are nursing or plan to nurse their baby. Breastfeeding is the most nutritious and best way to feed your baby. Certified Breastfeeding Consultants help with all aspects of nursing. Breastfeeding Peer Counselors are also available, as well as a network of nursing moms for support and encouragement. Assessment
A breastfeeding assessment is the first step. This is a comprehensive evaluation of mother’s and baby’s breastfeeding process. This includes latching, milk transfer, positioning, and overall health, to ensure effective feeding and address any challenges.
Classes
Breastfeeding classes are educational sessions that provide expectant or new parents with information, techniques, and support to help them successfully begin and maintain breastfeeding.
Support Groups
Breastfeeding and parenting groups give parents the chance to share experiences, seek advice and receive guidance on breastfeeding and parenting challenges in a relaxed group setting.
