Internships
From time to time, internships may be available in different programs at the Health Department. These are open to college and graduate students who meet the following criteria:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- In good academic standing.
- A citizen of the United States, or lawful resident.
- A satisfactory criminal background check.
- TB test with negative result.
*Submission of application does not guarantee an interview. Only candidates who are to be interviewed will be notified.
Clinical Internships – *Incomplete applications will not be accepted.*
For nursing students who are looking for a clinical internship, with direct patient contact, please complete the Intern Application AND Intern-Volunteer Agreement below and send with your resume, in the same email to Valerie.Scruggs@dph.ga.gov.
Non-Clinical Internships – *Incomplete applications will not be accepted.*
For students interested in a program internship, please complete the Intern Application AND Intern-Volunteer Agreement below and send with your resume, in the same email to Pamela.Kirkland@dph.ga.gov.
Volunteers – *Incomplete applications will not be accepted.*
Occasionally, certain programs may need volunteers. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, a citizen of the United States, or lawful resident, pass a criminal background check, and have had a TB test within the last 12 months with negative result.
To apply, please complete the Volunteer Application AND Intern-Volunteer Agreement below and return in the same email to Pamela.Kirkland@dph.ga.gov.
