Internships and Volunteers

From time to time, internships may be available in different programs at the Health Department. These are open to college and graduate students who meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • In good academic standing.
  • A citizen of the United States, or lawful resident.
  • A satisfactory criminal background check.
  • TB test with negative result.

Submission of application does not guarantee an interview.  Only candidates who are to be interviewed will be notified.

Internships
For nursing students who are looking for a clinical internship, please complete the Intern Application and Intern-Volunteer Agreement below and send to Julie.Sizemore@dph.ga.gov.

For other internships, please complete the Intern Application and Intern-Volunteer Agreement below and return with your resume and unofficial transcript to
Pamela.Kirkland@dph.ga.gov.

Volunteers
Occasionally, certain programs may have the need for volunteers.  Applicants must be at least 18 years old, a citizen of the United States, or lawful resident, pass a criminal background check, and  have had a TB test within the last 12 months with negative result. Submission of application does not guarantee placement.
