Full-Time Unclassified Position
SALARY: $58,547.06 Annually
LOCATION: District Administration, Columbus Department of Public Health; 2100 Comer Ave., Columbus, GA, 2nd Floor, Health & Human Services Center
DUTIES: Under supervision, this position will be responsible for purchasing, receiving, storage and handling, inventory, and packaging of medications for distribution of all 340B and non-340B medications to each health department. Will receive monthly/quarterly/annual inventory reports and requisitions from the district’s 16-county health departments. Develop packing slips for all medication deliveries prior to the deadline. Receive all inventory reports, returned packing slips and invoices, and maintain a tracking method of each for all medications. Serve as the 340B Compliance Officer for the district, including 340B policy and procedure development, ongoing education and training for staff, 340B rules/guidance surveillance, annual recertification on the HRSA OPAIS website. Work directly with District Billing to ensure cost savings and program compliance. Conduct self-audits and external audits. 340B contract pharmacy management, monthly and annual reporting, and routine monitoring and tracking. *This is Not a Remote Position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification OR Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND One (1) year of nursing experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification. *A copy of college transcript is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and one (1) year of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse.
