Full-Time, Unclassified Position

SALARY: $36,537.33 Annually

LOCATION: District Administration, Columbus Department of Public Health, 2100 Comer Ave., Columbus, GA, 2nd Floor, Health & Human Services Center

DUTIES: Under general supervision, this position will provide administrative support daily to the District Nursing Director as well as the District Health Director, as needed. Will review all forms/documents for accuracy prior to submitting to the DND for approval. Assist with the development of MOU’s, MOA’s, and contracts. Will require intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office products and other applications for data entry and tracking, calendar and meeting management, and virtual conferencing platforms. Will serve as a liaison between the district and county level staff and community partners.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree from an accredited college AND One year of related experience OR Three years of related experience.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS: Public Health experience; General administrative/office experience. Computer experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data entry, etc.). Must demonstrate excellent customer service and oral communication skills, to effectively interact with all levels of departmental personnel and outside customers. Work requires the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.

All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
