Full-Time Unclassified Position

SALARY: $26,909.28 Annually

LOCATION: Columbus Dept. of Public Health, 2100 Comer Ave., Columbus, GA, 2nd Floor, Health & Human Services Center

DUTIES: Under direct supervision, this position will perform a variety of general administrative support functions to include, but not limited to data entry on and off site, order and maintain supplies for the mobile unit, track and report all PHOW activities daily, document room temperatures and refrigerator/freezer/cooler temperatures daily and immediately report any variations and assist with scheduling events and homebound patients and coordinate schedule changes with the call center. Will provide support to the county health departments with scoliosis screenings, immunization audits, health fairs and community events, etc. Rotating after-hours and weekends required, as needed to accommodate community requests. This position will also provide support in the health department when no community events are scheduled.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED AND ability to perform basic office functions and computer related duties.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Public Health experience, general administrative and/or medical office experience.

All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
