Part-time/Hourly, WIC Clerical Services Worker (Crisp County) Traveling

Part-Time, Hourly Position

LOCATION: Crisp County Health Department, WIC, 111 E. 24th Ave., Cordele, GA 31015

DUTIES: Under direct supervision, this position will be housed in the Crisp County Health Department and will travel to the following counties (Dooly, Macon, Schley, Sumter, and Webster) to provide WIC services to clients in these counties. This position will perform duties, to include, but not limited to:
•Processing 100% of WIC clients through GA Gateway
•Evaluating proofs of residency, identification and income
•Appointment scheduling
•Maintaining reports for the West Central Health District WIC program
•Complete nutrition assignment course and provide secondary education
•Other duties as assigned.
*Travel will be reimbursed at the state approved rate of 0.725 per mile

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma/GED and six (6) months experience handling customers’ questions, complaints and/or providing information.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Basic computer and data entry skills are preferred to efficiently perform the job duties. Knowledge of WIC services preferred.

All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
