Full-Time Unclassified Position
PAY GRADE: $51,811.56 Annually
LOCATION: Columbus Health Department, 5601 Veterans Pkwy., Columbus, GA 31904
DUTIES: Under supervision, this position will provide professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies, and/or procedures. Will function as an expanded role nurse based out of the Columbus Health Department. Provides nursing care consistent with the patient’s level of need. Utilizes the EMR system to accurately document patient care and enter billing information for reimbursement. Will order and dispense medications based on nursing assessment and according to established nurse protocol. This position will serve as patient advocate and refer patients to community partners or private physicians, when indicated.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification. No experience required. *A copy of college transcripts is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and one (1) year of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse.
All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency.
